(June 16, 2015) — The RV/MH Hall of Fame’s Induction Dinner Committee Chairman Mark Wasson (Bluelinx Corporation) reports reservations for the induction dinner honoring the Class of 2015 are running ahead of last year’s reservations.

(May 19, 2015) — The RV/MH Hall of Fame and Museum’s newest exhibit features a retrospective on the evolution of the iconic Shasta brand of travel trailers, according to Darryl Searer, president, RV/MH Hall of Fame (Hall).

(May 11, 2015) — The RV/MH Hall of Fame’s Annual Induction Dinner honoring the Class of 2015 will be held on Aug. 3, 2015, at the Hall of Fame’s Northern Indiana Event Center in Elkhart, Ind., according to Darryl Searer, president, RV/MH Hall of Fame (Hall).

(April 23, 2015) — The 3rd Annual Spring Hall of Fame RV show will be held at the RV/MH Hall of Fame & Museum in Elkhart, April 23 – 26, 2015. Ten of the area’s top dealers will kick off their summer selling season with special show pricing on the newest RV’s of the season.

(April 1, 2015) — The RV/MH Hall of Fame Selection Committee has issued a call for nominations for the Class of 2016. Nominations from all RV and manufactured housing sectors — manufacturers, dealers, campgrounds, housing communities, suppliers, user groups, trade media, associations, etc. — will be accepted.

(March 23, 2015) — Darryl Searer, president of the RV/MH Hall of Fame, was among the guest speakers at the recent 2015 Annual California Manufactured Housing Institute Convention. Searer presented the Hall’s history, its goals and financial standing.

(Feb. 20, 2015) — The RV/MH Hall of Fame and Museum in Elkhart, Ind., now owns the manufactured house on display thanks to several generous donations from industry professionals.

(Feb. 13, 2015) — The RV/MH Hall of Fame has surpassed the halfway point of its $1 million Kevin Clayton Debt Elimination Challenge campaign after recent pledges exceeding $50,000 from the manufactured housing and RV industries.

(Jan. 15, 2015) — The RV/MH Hall of Fame has received a $100,000 pledge from the Crean Foundation toward the Hall’s Kevin Clayton Debt Elimination Challenge fundraising campaign.

(Dec. 16, 2014) — The RV/MH Hall of Fame is inviting everyone to ring in the New Year with them by hosting a gala to benefit the Hall of Fame. The upscale casual party begins at 7:30 p.m., with live dance music performed by local band, Mulligan’s Island. A DJ, photo booth and the live broadcast from Times Square for the ball drop are also being provided.

(Nov. 17, 2014) — “We welcome these new board members who will join the existing board in helping us meet the challenges as we move forward and take the Hall of Fame to even higher levels of success,” said Searer.

(Nov. 10, 2014) — “Our goal is to raise $1 million in this campaign over the next three to five years,” said Searer. “These new pledges, plus Kevin Clayton’s initial pledge of $200,000, means that we are more than 35 percent there in only a few weeks since the campaign was announced.”

(Oct. 16, 2014) — Al Hesselbart, who served the RV/MH Hall of Fame & Museum for 20 years, announced today that he is retiring at the end of the month. Hesselbart is well known as an RV/MH historian, librarian, lecturer and author.

(Oct. 1, 2014) — To be eligible, the nominee must be, or have been, an active participant in any segment of the RV or manufactured housing industries for a minimum of 25 years. They can work for manufacturers, dealers, campgrounds, housing communities, suppliers, user groups, trade media or associations.

(Sept. 30, 2014) — Searer challenged the MH leaders to open their hearts and wallets and join Kevin Clayton to help the hall retire its debt in three to five years by pledging $1 million over the next three to five years. The other $1.5 million will come from the RV industry.

(Sept. 22, 2014) — Darryl Searer, chairman and president of the RV/MH Heritage Foundation, announced today that Judy Jankowski has been named vice president of development and Jeff White has been promoted to vice president of operations.

(Aug. 6, 2014) — “Darryl has worked hard and smart to achieve the difficult goals required to salvage and significantly improve the Hall of Fame,” said Cole. “After considering our proposal and knowing his passion and love for the museum, he accepted a two year ‘sentence’ as president with no pay.”

(Aug. 5, 2014) — “This year’s attendance of 444 set a new record, beating the previous record of 434 attendees and far outpaced the 2013 attendance of 311,” said Searer. “It was also a record breaking year for fundraising at the dinner and golf outing.”

(Aug. 5, 2014) — “This year’s show will be the best in years with participation from dealers throughout Northern Indiana and Michigan,” he explained. “Those looking for their first RV or their next RV can see it all in one place.”
