Geeks on Tour

Our phones take great pictures, and Google Photos stores them in the cloud, unlimited and free, so why not take every picture you see.

On our fourth day in New Zealand, we picked up our motorhome from Wilderness RV. We chose this company and booked the motorhome several months ago because of the recommendation of Heath and Alyssa.

We are currently traveling in Australia and New Zealand. We use our phones to know the current time – that’s a given – but it is also important to us to know what time it is at home. Home is in Eastern time, aka Miami.

(Dec. 6, 2018) — We still arrived early for the rally, but that’s ok because so did our friends Eric and Tami Johnson from We made good use of the time.

(Nov. 29, 2018) — With these smartphone/GPS devices in our pockets all the time, there are now many different ways to share your location. Apple has the “Find my friends” app, Facebook messenger (and many other texting apps) have a button to “Send Location.”

(Nov. 7, 2018) — We did a lot of RV traveling this summer. We take a lot of photos, and I keep a blog, but there’s nothing like a map to bring it all together. It’s the perfect souvenir of your travels.

(Oct. 22, 2018) — They’re no dummies! When you use Walmart’s parking lot for your campsite overnight, you’re bound to go shopping. We park overnight at Walmarts all the time and we’ve always spent money shopping there.

(Oct. 15, 2018) — We’ve attended many Safari rallies because our first RV was a Safari. We presented our seminars at their 20th anniversary in Amana Colonies in 2008.

(Oct. 12, 2018) — We’ve attended many Safari rallies because our first RV was a Safari. We presented our seminars at their 20th anniversary in Amana Colonies in 2008.

(Oct. 10, 2018) — As Geeks on Tour, my husband Jim and I travel around the country and present seminars on personal technology like how to use smartphones, how to manage all those pictures you take with your phone, and how to use Google Maps, among other things.

(Sept. 6, 2018) — We’ve passed thru Amarillo many times and friends have told us we must go to Palo Duro Canyon but we never made it. So when it popped up on our Roadtrippers program this time, we noticed.

(Aug. 27, 2018) — Next stop is Grand Tetons National Park. These elegant, majestic mountains have brought tears to my eyes. We’ve also been here before once for each RV!

(Aug. 24, 2018) — We seek out hot springs wherever we are and we found one of the very best during our first year on the road. Thermopolis, Wyoming is where the hot springs are.

(Aug. 23, 2018) — Our good friend, and long-time Florida dive buddy, Debby Bradford, is now a fulltime RVer and she is work-camping in Yellowstone this summer.

(Sept. 18, 2017) — After you’ve traveled by RV for a few years, you make friends and see them at various places all over the country.

(Aug. 31, 2017) — The rally was over on Saturday night. We had really good Verizon Internet where we were parked, so we decided to stay thru Sunday afternoon and do our live streaming “What Does This Button Do?” show from the Roadtrek in the parking lot!

(April 5, 2017) — We now have a townhouse in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. We might stay there for just one or two months in a year, or we might stay there for 9 –10 months. In any case, we don’t need a motorhome as big as the one we have now. We aren’t Full Time any more. We don’t carry everything we own with us.
