Podcast 215 explores forecasting your future

This week’s guest is fitting for the first podcast of the year. Shane Bender, is the CEO of Bender CFO services and the author of Forecast Your Future: How Small Businesses Exchange Stress and Chaos for Cash and Clarity.

In his book he asks, “What if you had less stress, chaos, and uncertainty, and more influence over where you are going financially?”

He outlines the keys to profitability and describes what strategies small business owners need to adopt to ensure they build strong, profitable and growing businesses. It involves four things:

  1. Where you are today
  2. Determining your destination
  3. Strategizing how to reach that destination faster
  4. Implementing adjustments to stay on course

Bender explains what a chief financial officer does for a business and why it is smart for companies with $2 million to $10 million in sales to seek the counsel of a CFO to help plan business direction, even if they can’t hire one full time.

Although we spend time talking about business owners, we also talk to business professionals about some storm clouds that are on the horizon. Bender explains why most people need to develop some type of side hustle to give them options if their jobs go away.

He closes by outlining a new course that he has developed to forecast your future that helps people develop an abundance mindset and establish a plan for their lives.

Bender’s book, Forecast Your Future: How Small Businesses Exchange Stress and Chaos for Cash and Clarity, is available on Amazon at amzn.to/2RDp4jl.
