Podcast episode 178 begins with a mention of Kampgrounds of America’s 2018 North American Camping Report and some of the trends it uncovered.
This week’s guest is Mike Sokol, a trainer and consultant who works for RV Travel and also manages a unique website called the No Shock Zone to help RV owners better understand electrical systems on board their RVs.
He has noticed that many RV owners lack the knowledge in handling electricity to the point they can put themselves in danger, not only of physical injury, but by risking damage to their recreation vehicles if the electricity isn’t properly applied.
His mission is to help RV owners avoid what is called hot skin condition where the outside of the RV becomes electrified. Soktol offers tips on the types of equipment to provide better protection to RVers and their families as well as information they need to know to avoid expensive repairs caused by poor electrical hookups.
People can learn more about RV electricity and read volumes of information about RV electrical problems and solutions by visiting www.rvtravel.com/electricity.
