RV Rental Connection offers Mardi Gras trip-planning advice

From the bloggers at RV Rental Connection:

Mardi Gras offers more than just a celebration, it’s a time to learn history while experiencing the culture that makes New Orleans famous. Mardi Gras by RV is even better.

We recommend you time your RV trip so that you can visit for the extended weekend just before Mardi Gras. This is usually Feb. 24 to 27, sometimes earlier, depending on what Tuesday is Mardi Gras.

If you do choose to arrive the weekend prior, you’ll be able to enjoy some of the more popular parades such as the Bacchus, Rex, Zulu, and the grandest of the eight famous Mardi Gras Parades, the Krewe of Endymion Parade.

There are a lot of festive celebrations going on throughout the city during this time frame, so you can pick and choose or enjoy them all. Remember the dates change each year, so be sure to check your calendar.
