Proace Lerina camper is home away from home

PLANO, Tex. — Toyota is the latest automaker to launch a camper van.

Based on the Proace, and converted by Wellhouse Leisure, it’s called the Lerina, after the Lerins islands of the French Riviera. If it caught your attention, it has a starting price of £42,000 (the equivalent of US$59,015 at today’s exchange rates) in the United Kingdom.

Some of the features that Toyota says will make it a “comfortable all-year round camping” van include the pop-up roof, which can be fitted with an optional double bed, furniture, wardrobe, kitchen with sink and gas hob, fresh water tank, 25-liter fridge, and portable toilet.
