Ohio man trapped under camper while installing tires

REPUBLIC, Ohio — A Republic man was transported to the hospital late Saturday morning after he was trapped under a trailer that fell of its blocking, reports the Tiffin Advertiser Tribune.

According to Seneca County Deputy Denny Wilkinson, 72-year-old David Fretz was attempting to put tires on a fifth wheel camper at Clinton Lake Campground. A floor jack was under the axle of the camper, and when Fretz had difficulty putting on a tire, he crawled under the trailer to make adjustments, said Wilkinson.

While underneath the camper, Wilkinson said something shifted and the camper fell onto Fretz’s hip, trapping him beneath it.
