WASHINGTON — As we made our way south along the coastal highway 101 this November the weather was sunny and warm, strange for the time of year. Usually, it’s rainy and cool and we just want to get south as fast as we can. So, this year we slowed our pace to take advantage of the good fortune.
We enjoyed 5 nights at an old favorite the Elk Country RV Resort. Pretty well every time we’ve camped here we’ve witnessed the local herd of Roosevelt Elk and often right in the campground! This time was no exception. They are a pleasure to see. Amazingly quiet for such large animals. A whole herd can sort of sneak up on you.
