Henley’s Happy Trails: Dry camping and travel tips, part 4

Listen to this story

WASHINGTON — We’re welcoming our fifth year as full time RVers with a new travel segment called Dry Camping and Travel Tips with Levi! Our aim is to provide helpful tips to RV newbies and hopefully share a bit more with veteran full timers on all things urban and primitive dry camping (a.k.a. boondocking). Plus, we’ll throw in travel safety pointers here and there.

Levi and I visit one of our favorite and tastiest rest stops in Episode 4, Cracker Barrel. These restaurants are popular stops for RVers since they are usually located right off of major routes and offer RV specific parking. We always call the restaurant beforehand to make sure overnight parking is permitted and arrive later in the evening. We’ll either eat dinner or breakfast there, depending on how late we arrive. Comfort food is quite nice on long road trips.
