BOX ELDER, S.D. — American RVers Jim and Peggy Grich recently visited San Diego, Calif. to meet up with Tim Lemieux, an engineer who converted his 1987 Winnebago into a “Green RV Machine,” for the latest webisode of American RVer.
The Class C motorhome has custom modifications that allow Lemieux to live off the grid. In the webisode, Jim speaks with Lemieux about how his coach can make power, water, heat in the winter and cool air in the summer.
The motorhome features custom solar panels, a humidifier to condense moisture into potable water and a unique charging system for an electric car.
Later in the show there is a time lapse video from David and Brenda Bott condensing the time it took to build their new Tiffin 45LP Allegro Bus from eleven days to thirteen minutes.
