FL: Travel trailers heading to Eastpoint wildfire victims

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — The Eastpoint families who lost everything last month in the Limerock Wildfire are getting temporary new digs courtesy of local, state and federal governments and the Capital Area Community Action Agency.

Gov. Rick Scott announced Tuesday the state brokered a deal with the federal General Services Administration to acquire 24 surplus travel trailers for victims of the forest fire, which officials suspect began as a controlled burn. The trailers, which were used in Monroe County during Hurricane Irma, are expected to be delivered from Homestead as soon as Wednesday.
