Escapees to host Redneck-fest at Texas RV park

LIVINGSTON, Texas — Each year Escapees Club puts together a fun-filled “Oktoberfest” event at Rainbow’s End, full of socializing, games, a market area and great food.

This year the event has been given the theme of “Redneck-fest” and will be kicking off on Oct. 18, with an ice cream social followed by a campfire, where folks can swap their favorite redneck stories.

The next day is sure to keep people entertained between the market area, door prizes, entertainment by Walter Plant, and a BBQ dinner catered by Florida’s Kitchen. The final day of the event will be wrapped up with a fire truck exhibit, the annual bake auction to benefit the Livingston Volunteer Fire Department, and a redneck Halloween party with tricks and treats for all.

Participants are encouraged to dress up as their favorite characters for a chance to win the costume contest.

Admission is free, but people should bring a little extra spending money to purchase some items in the market area or enjoy a lunch or dinner with fellow SKP friends.
