CA: Parents can learn basics for taking families camping

ANAHEIM, Calif. — Parents not sure about taking their families camping can gain a little confidence at a workshop on Jan. 24.

OC Parks’ next Back to Basics Winter Workshop is on family camping. The basics of “front country” or car camping will be discusses in the evening presentation. Equipment, how to cook, entertainment ideas, logistics and safety will be discussed. Suggestions will also be offered of good spots to try at nearby parks and campgrounds.
