Arches and Canyonlands National Parks are stunning in the cold

WASHINGTON — The bad news is is was cold – temps in the Upper 40’s and low 50’s – as we made a detour on our long drive to Salt Lake City this weekend to do some impromptu exploring and hiking at two of our favorite National Parks.

The good news is the crowds were down and we had access to all the great spots with no problems finding a parking spot at either Canyonlands or Arches National Parks.

The warm weather tourists were still at home but the parks were as gorgeous as ever.
