Ala. RV association celebrates eighth year

MONTGOMERY, Ala. — On Saturday, the Central Alabama RV Association conducted its annual gathering at the Gunter Hill Campground in Montgomery, reports the Montgomery Advertiser. Folks filling about 25 RVs got together and enjoyed lunch.

Association treasurer Fannie Pinkard said the organization, currently the only African-American RV group in central Alabama, is celebrating its eighth year and that it is the fourth year for the gathering at Gunter Hill, writes the Montgomery Advertiser.

The Montgomery Advertiser reports that attendees came from as far away as Columbus, Ga., as well as Selma and Montgomery. Comer D. Kite, the association’s current president, said the group is comprised of retirees and those who make time for the trips.
