Additional activity planned for Pomona Show this weekend

POMONA, Calif. — The California RV Show is underway at the Fairplex in Pomona, with displays and activities planned through Oct. 20.

“After three days, attendance is up 63.2 percent,” said Tom Gaither, western show director for the RV Industry Association. “The three-day total is 13,923, and the entire show last year drew 20,756, so we’re going to blow last year’s gate right out the door.”

Bret Michaels, rock star on the TV reality show, “Rock My RV,” and also a singer with the group Poison, and winner of Donald Trumps Celebrity Apprentice, appeared Sunday to give recognition and awareness to diabetes. Michaels himself is a Type 1 diabetic since age 16. More than 6,000 people attended his appearance Sunday.

This Saturday, KFI radio host Tim Conway, Jr., will appear in the afternoon.

Sunday is Fiesta Day with radio personality El Alacran, from Que Buena, appearing from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.; and Telemundo will feature their winning race car the entire day for fans to see.
