U.S. Interior secretary to keynote Power Breakfast

ELKHART, Ind. — U.S. Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke, a former U.S. Navy Seal and Montana congressman, is scheduled to serve as one of two keynote speakers for the 6th Annual RV Industry Power Breakfast, slated for 6:45 a.m. on May 3, at the Northern Indiana Event Center-RV/MH Hall of Fame in Elkhart, Indiana.

The Trump administration cabinet member has worked closely over the past year and a half with the Recreation Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA), the Recreation Vehicle Dealers Association (RVDA), the National Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds (ARVC) and their marine and sport fishing allies in the in the emerging Outdoor Recreation Roundtable (ORR) in their efforts to upgrade both the quality and quantity of national park facilities accommodating their respective businesses.

The other keynoter for this year’s Power Breakfast, which is expected to again draw a capacity crowd of more than 850 business people and civic officials, will be Democratic U.S. Sen. Joe Donnelly, a Granger, Indiana, resident who is expected to kick off a state-wide campaign tour that morning as part of a hotly contested senate race that is drawing plenty of national attention.

Also stepping up to the podium at the Power Breakfast will be U.S. Sen. Todd Young, 3rd District U.S. Rep. Jim Banks, 2nd District U.S. Rep. Jackie Walorski, RVIA President Frank Hugelmeyer, RVDA President Phil Ingrassia, KOA President Toby O’Rourke and Community Foundation of Elkhart County President Pete McCown.

This year’s sponsors include Airxcel, Cummins Inc., Dometic, Forest River Inc., Kampgrounds of America Inc., RVIA, Thor Industries Inc., Spartan Motors Inc., Wells Fargo CDF and Winnebago Industries Inc. RVBusiness magazine facilitates the annual event under the auspices of an independent, all-industry organizing committee.
