ELKHART — Reservations for the RV/MH Hall of Fame’s Annual Induction Dinner celebrating the Class of 2017 are outpacing any recent history for induction dinner signups, according to Darryl Searer, president of the RV/MH Heritage Foundation.
“Compared to this same time last year, dinner reservations and event sponsorship’s for the Class of 2017 are running three times greater than last year’s class,” said Searer. “Sponsors this year so far include Barry Cole, Darren Paylor, Frank Walter, Bannister properties, Christine Lindsey and Denise Reinbolt.”
The induction ceremony will take place Aug. 7 at the Hall of Fame’s Northern Indiana Event Center in Elkhart. That’s also the day of the Hall of Fame’s Annual Golf Classic Fundraiser, hosted by Christiana Creek Country Club in Elkhart.
“We’ve reduced the golf price this year by $50 which has led to a sharp increase in golf registrations, also up three times over last year,” said Searer.
The 2017 Induction Dinner celebration begins at 5:30 p.m. with a cash bar cocktail party, followed by the dinner and induction ceremonies at 6:30 p.m.
“I hope all the friends and colleagues of the inductees and industry members will join us in honoring these outstanding industry pioneers who have had a major impact on our professions and lives,” he added.
Those being inducted in the Class of 2017 include:
- Edwin Baier, Evergreen RV Supply
- Walter Bennett, Thor Industries
- David Gorin, David Gorin Associates LLC
- Woody Paylor, Woody’s RV World
- Martin Shea, Madison RV Supercenter, Inc.
Manufactured Housing Inductees
- Dennis Beadle, Victorian Homes
- Christine Lindsey, UMH Properties, Inc.
- Doug Lippert, Lippert Components, Inc.
- Spencer Roane, Boyd Roane Inc., and founder of Southeastern Community Owners
- Michael Sullivan, Newport Pacific Family of Companies
“This event is truly a major industry affair. It not only honors the inductees who have attained a major milestone in the lives and careers; it’s also an opportunity to network with industry leaders who normally attend the event,” said Searer.
