ANN ARBOR, Mich. — At RVX this week in Salt Lake City, Thetford will introduce the Culinary Collection, Thetford’s first induction cooktops.

Offering modern controls, ease of use and elegant design, the cooktops will make RVers feel right at home in their RV kitchen, the press release suggests.

“Induction cooktops are a growing product category in the cooking industry,” said Noel Dolan, director of product strategy. “The Culinary Collection will be a great fit for RVers who desire the control and convenience of induction cooking.”

The power and precision of induction cooking comes from an electromagnetic field below the glass cooktop surface that transfers current directly to magnetic cookware, causing it to heat up.

Thetford offers both single and dual induction cooktops. Both models offer easy-to-use temperature controls, with a range of 120 F – 450 F.

Other features include:

  • Contemporary black glass cooking surface
  • Electronic glass touch controls
  • 4-digit LED Display
  • 180-minute timer
  • Countertop or flush installation
  • Childproof lock
  • Auto pan detection

“The theme of RVX is to focus on the many different kinds of people who are RVers,” said Dolan. “For those who like to cook, the culinary collection is a great compliment to Thetford’s suite of kitchen products.”
