Thetford launches seminars to address toilet, sanitation system maintenance

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Psst… are you ready for some potty talk?

Paula Pacholke-Dumont, Thetford Corporation’s manager of shemicalengineering, will present two informative seminars at the Family Motor Coaching Association Rally this week.

“Potty Time – Straight Talk on RV Toilet & Sanitation System Maintenance” is the subject of Pacholke-Dumont’s presentations that take place at the McGill Building from 9-10 a.m. on Thursday and the Beef & Dairy Barn from 9-10 a.m. on Saturday.

“With so many different holding tank products – and some outrageous homebrew concoctions – it’s often difficult for RVers to decide what to use,” she said. “They’re constantly seeking knowledge.

“These seminars discuss the basics of bathroom and holding tank care to help RVers choose the right solutions to keep their RV smelling and working great,” Pacholke-Dumont added.

Her presentations are but one part of Thetford and Norcold’s traditionally-strong presence at the four-day FMCA Rally. They occupy Booths 811 and 813 in the Miller-Murphy Component Area and will have a Service Table in the Miller-Murphy lobby, which will be open from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. for pre-registration of appointments.

In addition, at a variety of times, Thetford and Norcold will be present in an outdoor area located near the West Gate. That’s where RVers will find the company’s easily-recognized, giant inflatable Aqua-Kem bottle and a tent with Pacholke-Dumont (and others), who will answer questions and conduct consumer surveys and sampling.

Headquartered in Ann Arbor, Thetford is a leading supplier of sanitation and refrigeration products for the RV, marine and heavy-duty truck industries. It is a privately held company with seven manufacturing facilities in four nations. Learn more at

Thetford Aqua Magic II came in my new Montana. At 9 months old it was replaced with a Dometic 320. No warranty as it would have to be with another of the same.
