Tents for Troops has twenty 2020 travel trailers for parks

CASTLE ROCK, Wash. — This summer with help from Airstream and THOR Industries Tents for Troops rolled out an RV loaner program that provides free use of a travel trailer to military families whom otherwise would have no access to an RV vacation.

The trailers are semi-permanently set up in RV parks or campgrounds and not towed or moved, the families using the trailer would be allowed to stay free for two to seven nights. The park will get a $35 fee each time the trailer is used, the fee will help offset the costs for utilities, propane, holding tank chemicals, etc.

United Warranty Corp. has provided long-term extended warranty polices for these trailers so parks can be assured that any unforeseen mechanical issues will be repaired. Tents for Troops provides all needed items i.e. dishes, pots pans, utensils, waffle maker, toaster, electric griddle, even board games.

Tents for Troops now seeks 20 RV parks and campgrounds in Tennessee, Kentucky and West Virginia interested in hosting a new 2020 Travel Trailer to be used by active duty military ( including National Guard and Reserve units ) and their families. To do so, a park would need to offer one full hook up site for the RV, which would then be loaned out to active duty military and their families at no cost other than a non refundable $35 deposit.

The park would take a $100 deposit from all guests of which $65 would be refunded if the RV is left clean. The parks would always be allowed to keep $35 of the deposit to help with utilities, propane, toilet chemicals, etc. Parks are allowed to block out holiday weekends and special events and there is some potential for the park to rent the trailer when not in use by military families.

    Tents for troops????

Ha! You should see what Thor did to this soldier/sailor who btw continues to serve – but was recently diagnosed with high blood pressure on a mobilization while my Thor camper is stuck in litigation.

Maybe Thor should just stick to the basics – like QCing their products…….
