RV/MH Hall of Fame to host supplier booths at Elkhart Open House

ELKHART — The board of directors of the RV/MH Heritage Foundation announced today that for the first time, suppliers’ booths will be available during the September RV Open House at the foundation’s Northern Indiana Event Center.

In the past, Thor Industries had reserved all available space at the RV/MH Hall of Fame, whether indoors or out. However, the company released its hold on the inside space to enable RV suppliers to participate in the Elkhart Open House.

The sales of display space is benefiting the RV/MH Hall of Fame, and not Thor Industries, CEO Bob Martin told RV Daily Report.

“I talked with the presidents of our manufacturing companies and we decided that we wanted to tie in suppliers to this year’s open house,” he explained. “We will come up with a way to manage the traffic flow so that it works for everyone.

“With the big RV show in Louisville going away, suppliers were really looking for ways to participate in the open house event,” he added. “I’m excited to have the suppliers at the RV/MH Hall of Fame building this year. Dealers can easily visit the booths and I’ll even try to cruise through the displays to see everyone and check out the new products.”

“We believe this will be exciting news for supplier exhibitors, not only for opportunity to rub shoulders with many of their RV manufacturer customers; but also, to show their latest innovations and products to the thousands of dealers attending the event,”  Foundation President Darryl Searer noted in a press release.

Searer noted that 100 8-by-10-foot booths will be available on a first come, first served basis, in Ingram Hall, and the foundation is prepared to start taking reservations today.

“What’s special for suppliers as well as booth visitors, is that the supplier exhibits will be comfortably indoors — free from inclement weather, wind, rain storms, heat or cold,” Searer said.

“Weather in Northern Indiana this time of year is highly unpredictable, so exhibitors can be assured their display booths will be safe and comfortable,” he added. “Plus, we also have adequate convenient parking onsite.

“And as usual, RV dealers will receive free admission to the RV/MH Hall of Fame and Museum which will take them directly past the front door of Ingram Hall and the supplier exhibits,” Searer explained.

Suppliers who reserve their booths prior to April 30, will receive a substantial discount off their booth rental fees, plus they will receive their preferred location in the show.

More details will be released as they become available.
