The inaugural RVX event opens next week in Salt Lake City, and RV Daily Report has been posting a lot of stories about new companies, new products and new innovations to be introduced at the trade show.
One of those companies is Vitrifrigo, an Italian firm that specializes in RV refrigeration. The firm’s products have been installed on European caravans for many years. In fact, they are found on two of the biggest brands in Europe – Hymer and Knaus.
Today’s guest is Nelson Pinheiro, the sales manager for Vitrifrigo. He describes the history of the company and why the firm is seeking a foothold in the American RV market.
He describes the various products produced by the company and how they can enhance RVs made by American manufacturers. The RVs use compressors, just like residential refrigerators, but operate on AC and DC power, just like traditional RVs.
The firm has been building refrigerators for the marine industry, so it is experienced in developing technology in the recreation market.
Vitrifrigo is looking for RV manufacturers interested in setting themselves apart with different products, but the firm is also hoping to migrate into the North American RV aftermarket soon.
It’s hard for new suppliers to break into the North American RV industry because it seems that all the manufacturers insist on using the exact same products produced by the exact same suppliers.
That’s why it is refreshing to see that Vitrifrigo is stepping into the RV market with some outside-the-box ideas to improve the RV lifestyle for American buyers.
The flexibility offered by Vitrifrigo’s refrigeration system should open up options for RV manufacturers as well as give RV salespeople something new and unique to talk about when describing units to prospective RV buyers.
Everyone attending the RVX event next week in Salt Lake City is encouraged to visit the Vitrifrigo display in Booth 1114.
