This week’s podcast guests are Scott Kipp and Don Miller from Integrated Dealer Systems.
Kipp is the product manager overseeing IDS’ dealership management system and API integration with other applications. Miller is a senior business consultant overseeing the development of various reporting functions of the company’s software.
Both men are involved in rolling out IDS’ new repair event cycle time (RECT) features in IDS’s flagship Astra software.
They discuss the features of the software and explain how the detailed reports can help RV dealers and service managers stay on top of service orders to ensure customers are served promptly.
Kipp and Miller also describe elements of the reports and how they are compiled. The reports show actual data from a specific dealership along with averages among other dealers using the same software.
That way a dealer can determine if a bottleneck is localized to that business or something that is impacting dealers everywhere.
They also describe ways to drill down into the software for even more details, and offer suggestions as to how the data can be interpreted to help improve efficiency and service times.
