Keystone receives Clean Air Award

The Michiana Area Council of Governments, a voluntary association of local governments, announced this week that Keystone RV Company has earned a 2019 Partners for Clean Air award.

The reward was presented “for the company’s leadership in aggressively and continually implementing energy efficient upgrades across their production facilities in north central Indiana,” the release noted.

The award is a result of a three -year construction period on the 56-acre Corrie Drive site and a partnership with the Northern Indiana Public Service Company (NIPSCO), an area energy distribution company.

According to Bob Petit, vice president of support services at Keystone RV Company, there are three major implementations that contributed to Keystone RV winning this award. They are the implementation of both interior and exterior LED lighting, high efficiency HVAC equipment, and frequency drive air compressors.
