RVDA webinar addresses creating effective job postings

The Mike Molino RV Learning Center and its partner KPA will host a free webinar April 25 at 1 p.m. Eastern time entitled “The Heart & Science of Effective Job Postings.”

“Today, candidates have more choices than ever when choosing their next employer and a basic job posting isn’t enough to sell top talent,” said Eric Sisk, marketing communications specialist for the RV Dealers Association.

The KPA staff will offer step-by-step guidance on how to create effective and compelling job postings using a five-step framework which will teach attendees:

  • What modern candidates want and expect in their recruiting journey.
  • How to craft a compelling and concise pitch.
  • How to optimize job listings based on search engine optimization best practices.

Four Elkhart Open House supplier booths remain at RV/MH Hall of Fame

“We started with 104 8-by-10-foot booths and all but four booths have been reserved and/or already paid for — that’s 96% filled,” said RV/MH Heritage Foundation President Darryl Searer.

The indoor booths will be located in Ingram Hall, near where RV dealers register for entrance into the Thor Industries displays.

Canadian inflation rate returns to 2%

Headline inflation in Canada bounced back to nearly 2% in March after starting the year closer to 1.5%, RBC Economics reported.

That’s largely an energy story, though, as the decline in gasoline prices late last year that was driven by lower global oil prices continues to be reversed. Rising rent and mortgage interest costs are also serving to boost headline inflation.

The Bank of Canada’s first quarter business outlook survey released this week showed little evidence of input or output price inflation, while firms’ inflation expectations moderated, RBC explained.

NTP-Stag carries Harold Import kitchen accessories

NTP-Stag announced it has added products form wholesale commercial culinary supplier Harold Import Company to its accessories category.

Based in Lakewood, N.J., the family-run company offers more than 3,500 home and commercial kitchen products, many of which are its own brands.

That includes items like fine porcelain, professional-grade knives, storage solutions, cleaning supplies, a silicone popcorn butter gadget, and a four-in-one bar tool with a built-in bottle opener, can opener, fruit and veggie peeler, and channel knife.

Heartland steps up effort to serve dealer network

Hearland RV brands secured several RV Dealers Association Quality Circle Awards in March, which President Chris Hermon said is the result of work the company has done to help serve its dealer customers.

For example, the company erected a 52,500-square-foot service center in LaGrange County, and opened a $5 million pre-delivery inspection center at its Elkhart campus.

Heartland also instituted a three-year structural warranty on its RVs, and recently announced a partnership with NTP-Stag to fulfill warranty repair parts.

Pacific Coachworks to include In-Command system in fifth wheels

ASA Electronics announced its iN∙Command Control Systems with Global Connect will be available on Pacific Coachworks Blaze’n, Powerlite, Rage’n, and Sandsport fifth wheels.

That will allow Pacific Coachworks owners to do everything from position motorized slide-outs to monitor water tank levels, and even turn on their air conditioning with the iN∙Command app for Apple and Android devices.

RVers will be able to control and monitor select functions of their RV from anywhere in the world when both the RV and the smart device have a cellular or Wi-Fi connection.
