NAPPANEE, Ind. — Gulf Stream Coach announced that it is expanding upon the hugely successful introduction of its 1950s themed travel trailer, the Vintage Cruiser, adding a new crimson and cream color scheme to the original teal and cream version.
The first Vintage Cruiser was introduced at the 2015 Elkhart Dealer Open House, signing more than 70 new dealers as a result. The past few months have proven the stunning retail performance of the new line, too, with stories of retail customers following delivery drivers to dealers’ lots, and units turning in hours, not days, said Tim Dennig, national sales manager.
“That kind of activity catches dealers’ attention, particularly in the supposed off-season months of November and December,” he explained.
“We were able to combine the great fun-loving vibe of the 1950s with 21st Century comfort, technology, materials, and features,” said Dennig. “Whether people actually remember camping in the 1950s or not, everyone agrees that the era represents a simpler, less-stressful time that had its own colors, music, style, and way of life.”
“We’re already seeing a strong cross-generational appeal with the Vintage Cruiser, with millennials to baby boomers stepping up to buy. That’s unusual with any product in today’s market, especially an RV,” he explained.
“The enthusiasm about the product has far exceeded our expectations,” he added. “We had dealers in our Louisville display reporting on their retail success and encouraging other dealers to take on the product. We even added six new dealers on Thursday afternoon at the Louisville show. That’s almost unheard-of as the show winds down and dealers head home.”
Dealers who would like to learn more about the Vintage Cruiser line and the new crimson and cream graphic scheme can contact Tim Dennig at 574.876.6120 or by emailing email@example.com.
