Micro-Air to unveil new ‘Double Down’ extended warranty in Tampa

TAMPA — Micro-Air will unveil its new “Double Down” extended warranty designed for RV rooftop air conditioners next week at the Tampa RV Supershow, the company announced today.

The warranty will extend to the air conditioning unit itself.

When paired with the EasyStart 364 soft starter, RV air conditioning units start on strikingly low power sources like small generators and 30-amp utility power, the release noted.

The new extended warranty eliminates the fear of manufacturers asserting installation of a part like the EasyStart will void the factory warranty, said Kevin Carlin, with Micro-Air, noting that for $25, Micro-Air eliminates the threat.

Under the federal Magnuson Moss Act, adding an aftermarket part should not void the warranty, Carlin explained.

Micro-Air will display the product at the Tampa RV Supershow in Booth A 113 from Jan. 15 to 19.

Representatives will have EasyStart units available at a special show price of $274. Installation will also be offered for $99, or $150 for two air conditioning units.
