UNIONTOWN, Ohio — Liberty Outdoors will debut the beta version of its new Micro Max and Camp Rover at this week at RVX in Salt Lake City.
Although Liberty Outdoors’ customers are loyal to the Little Guy Max and Mini Max lightweight trailers, there is a growing demand in the industry for scaled down travel trailers that can serve a more rustic RVing experience, said Joe Kicos, co-founder. That is the impetus for the Micro Max and Camp Rover.
The Camp Rover offers an optional flip-down upper bunk bed with a ladder that coverts into a safety rail.
Built as a true camping trailer, the Camp Rover will still offer standard features including a full kitchen, wet bath with seamless shower surround, air conditioning, quick recovery water heater and plenty of storage including a 13-by-30-inch exterior pass-through baggage door.
“One of the biggest concerns for many teardrop customers is whether they can standup inside such a small footprint,” said Kicos. “The Camp Rover has that covered with an internal height of 6 feet, 7 inches.
“Weighing 2,900 pounds and at 21 feet long and 7 feet wide, the Camp Rover will be a compelling option to the company’s popular Liberty Guy Max but at a more affordable price point,” he added.
As with all Little Guy trailers, optional Rough Rider packages with off-road tires including spare and 2-innch lift as well as solar panels are available.
The Micro Max goes even smaller with a dry weight of 1,700 pounds, an overall height and width of 6 feet, 6 inches and a length of 16 feet, 3 inches.
“Although the footprint may be small, the amenities are impressive including 100% hardwood cabinetry with dovetail construction, a full kitchen, Thetford porta-potty, 19-inch TV with swing arm mount, custom double bed, entertainment center, interior speakers, custom pillow top mattress, under bed storage, air conditioner and quick-recovery water heater.”
Other units showcased at RVX include The Little Guy Max and Mini Max.
The Mini Max weighs just under 2,000 pounds, it is equipped for towing by most small SUVs and crossovers.
With an impressive 6-foot, 7-inch interior height, the Max’s cabin space incorporates includes extra storage, charging outlets, entertainment features and LED lighting.
Coming in 2020 will be the re-launch of Liberty’s Serro Scotty Sportsman trailer, a sportier version of the iconic Serro Scotty Trailer.
“The all-new Sportsman will feature the classic 1960s look, with modern amenities and outstanding build quality,” said Kicos. “Although Sportsman won’t make an appearance at RVX, it is available for dealer review post-show.”
