POMPANO BEACH, Fla. — Isotherm refrigerators by Indel Webasto have been a staple in the marine market for more than 50 years. The heritage of performance in rough marine conditions is now taking on the most rugged off-road conditions for the RV market, the company announced today.

Isotherm earned two Innovation Awards for frost-free DC refrigeration and smart energycontrol battery-saving technology, the release noted.

Because of its reputation for low power consumption, Isotherm refrigerators are rapidly growing in popularity in the RV and van customization industry due to their safe battery-powered compressor systems, AC/DC functionality, and greater storage capacity vs. traditional three-way gas refrigeration,” said Manager Dave Lerbs.

Isotherm products range in size from 16 to 360 liters with models ranging from the economic Elegance models in silver and black, to the upscale Clean Touch stainless steel. It also includes drawer models, top-loading boxes with remote compressors, and portable travel box fridge/freezers.

“Isotherm brand refrigerators from Indel Webasto have forged a reputation as the world’s premiere refrigeration in the marine industry and now is the fastest growing brand in the RV industry,” said Lerbs. “With the best warranty in the industry (5-year limited warranty on all compressors and two years on all other parts), Isotherm is built to last and deliver premium performance in the toughest conditions.”

Isotherm offers energy saving technologies with the Isotherm smart energy control (ISEC) and intelligent temperature control (ITC), which reduce battery consumption by adjusting compressor speed and refrigerator temperatures.

With the new Freeline 115, Isotherm combines the ITC and superior insulation to deliver the most energy-efficient fridge in the industry, Lerbs explained.

“Versatility in mounting options for the Elegance line features an innovative anchoring system that allows fridges to be mounted both flush mount and proud mount without a flange,” he explained

“Magnetically sealed freezer compartments lock out frosting issues and molded-in door shelves with cradles and adjustable holders provide sturdy support to keep bottles and jars upright and secure whether you are off-shore or off-road,” he added.

Indel Webasto Marine is the successful joint venture between the automotive supplier Webasto, based in Germany, and the Italian refrigeration specialist Indel B.

The refrigerator will be on display at the Indel Webasto booth at RVX March 12 to 14 in Booth 4455.
