Gulf Stream ultralight division sees 37% dealer increase

NAPPANEE, Ind. — The Ultralight Division of independent family-owned manufacturer Gulf Stream Coach is riding a 10-month wave of growth of more than 37 percent in the number of dealers handling the Gulf Breeze, StreamLite, Vista Cruiser, Matrix, and Northern Express brands of laminated trailers, reports Ultralight Division National Sales Manager Tim Dennig.

“We’re extremely encouraged with the reception our products have enjoyed with new dealers and their customers,” said Dennig.  “The growth validates our long-term strategy to enhance the perceived value of our products by introducing innovative new floor plans, new decors inside, new graphics outside, and enhanced features and benefits throughout, while keeping weights extremely low.  We have also been recognized two years in a row for “best of show” models at the National RV Trade Show in Louisville.

“Our extremely low weights mean that mile for mile and trip for trip, owners need less expensive tow vehicles, spend less on fuel, and enjoy easier handling and maneuvering with our units than with bigger, heavier towables – and that simple fact makes good economic sense to a growing number of customers,” Dennig said.

Dealers have been added throughout the United States and Canada, with the strongest growth coming west of the Mississippi.  The growth in sales for the Ultralight Division is driven by a team that continues to respond to the market with the innovative products and new ideas that dealers and customers demand, he explained.

“We are blessed with a dedicated, experienced workforce and additional capacity for increased production,” Dennig said.  “In addition, we don’t ‘batch-build’ units, so we’re in a position to build Dealer and customer orders quicker than our competitors.”
