Grand Design Transcend Travel Trailer nabs awards

MIDDLEBURY, Ind. — Grand Design Recreational Vehicle Company was honored with the RV Pro Best of Show award and RV Business’s Top Debut awards for their new introductory level Transcend Travel Trailer that debuted at the recent RVIA National Tradeshow.

“Grand Design has always been focused on high quality, high content, and high value in every segment of the industry that we have entered, and our new Transcend is no exception. In a segment of the market that has gone relatively unchanged for many years, the Transcend bucks the market trends and delivers on Grand Design’s mantra of ‘We strive for nothing less than customers for life.’ We are honored to have received the Best of Show and Top Debut awards, and even more excited to welcome a whole new segment of RVers into the Grand Design family,” stated Don Clark, president/CEO of Grand Design RV.

Micah Staley, general manager for the Reflection, Imagine and Transcend product lines added, “The introductory level Transcend will carve its own path in the industry, creating opportunity for both retail customers and our dealers by providing more value, better floorplans and more features for the end user.”

Transcend defies the “entry level” term with features like a power tongue jack, power awning and aluminum entry steps. On the inside, the Transcend features upgrades like leather sofas and cushions, upgraded bunk mats, seamless thermal-formed countertops and deep-seated stainless steel kitchen sink. An upgraded insulation package and standard 15,000-BTU air conditioner will help make this coach Extended Stay Approved. The first available floorplan will be a 32-foot bunkhouse that sleeps 10 and weighs in around 6,400 pounds. It will sell in the $20,000 to $30,000 price range.

Grand Design RV, headquartered in Middlebury, Indiana, manufactures the market leading Reflection Fifth Wheel and Travel Trailer, flagship Solitude Extended Stay Fifth Wheel, luxury Momentum Toy Hauler, lightweight Imagine Travel Trailer, and introductory level Transcend Travel Trailer product lines. Since its founding in 2012, Grand Design RV has become one of the fastest growing RV companies in history and is rated among the highest quality RV manufacturers.
