FORT MYERS, Fla. — Region One of the Florida RV Trade Association hosts its annual admission-free fall recreation vehicle show at Hertz Arena in Estero from November 16, 17, and 18, Tom Wegge, show chairman of Region One, announced today. This is the first local RV Show of the 2018-19 season during what many are saying will be another banner year for the RV Industry.
Called the “Fall Clean-Sweep RV Show,” the three-day-event features local dealers “cleaning out” their new and used inventory to make room for new 2019 models. Items on display include a wide selection of new and used recreation vehicles of all styles, brands and price ranges, including motorhomes, travel trailers, fifth wheels, van campers and folding camping trailers.
According to the most recent data from Statistical Surveys and the RV Industry Association (RVIA), retail shipments of motorized RVs dipped 1.2 percent over the first nine months of 2018 while towable RVs showed a 5.2 percent increase for travel trailers and a 7.2 percent jump in fifth wheel trailers. Towable RVs continue to be the largest RV segment making up 88% of all units shipped while motorhomes make up 12% of the market. Overall, RV Industry officials continue to predict another outstanding year for RV sales, especially with the continued lowering of fuel prices.
“This admission-free event is the Association’s way of saying ‘Thank You’ to the public for supporting us throughout the year,” Tom explains. “By sponsoring these shows, the trade association allows the public to view a huge variety of RVs in one place.”
The recreation vehicle show is open from 10 AM to 5 PM all three days. Admission and parking are free for everyone. On-site financing will be available to qualified buyers.
