BENTON, Ky. — Ford’s RV Refrigeration Training Center (FRVRTC) has developed a “just the basics” hands-on class for RV owners to learn how to troubleshoot and repair their own refrigerators.
“There is growing interest in comprehensive RV refrigerator repair which is eliminating the all too common and primitive idea that the RV refrigerator needs to be replaced,” said Onna Lee Ford, co-founder of FRVRTC.
“With the repair option, consumers are saving money and, with us, they receive the best warranty,” she added. “With the repair of the refrigerator, FRVRTC and our students are keeping thousands of RV refrigerators and cooling units out of landfills each year.”
FRVRTC has been giving RV owners and technicians confidence in repairing RV refrigerators for more than 35 years,” Ford explained.
“We pride ourselves on providing the highest quality as well as the most comprehensive RV refrigerator repair found anywhere,” she said.
In 2018, Ford’s RV Refrigeration Training Center more than tripled the number of students from the United States and Canada, compared to the previous year, the release noted. Training classes take place from April through November.
“On one of our YouTube channels, we provide educational do-it-yourself training videos that cover troubleshooting and repair on an RV refrigerator,” said Ford. “On this YouTube channel, we have more than 1.1 million viewers, and nearly 6,000 subscribers.”
Veterans can utilize the GI Bill to receive training at FRVRTC.
The center is developing its 2019 training schedule. For more information, visit www.rvrefrigeration.com.
