Cardinal chooses Winegard WiFi prep

BURLINGTON, Iowa — Since 1953, Winegard Company has pioneered the ability for Americans to be connected to broadcast and satellite programming and now, the Internet with WiFi and 4G LTE. Winegard announced today the finalization of its partnership with Cardinal to enable RV enthusiasts to add WiFi antennas on all its fifth wheel models by prepping each RV with the ConnecT 2.0 WiFi/4G LTE extended technology.

“This latest partnership demonstrates how well Cardinal understands its customer and their needs,” said James Witty, Winegard OEM account manager. “The opportunity to work together to provide WiFi and 4G LTE options places them in the forefront of technology for the next generation of RVers.”

The ConnecT 2.0 WiFi antenna will also be pre-wired on all Cardinal fifth wheel brands making it quick and easy to install later so RVers may connect to any nearby WiFi, including campground WiFi to extend the signal’s range. The ability to tether multiple devices at once with maximum speed will keep everyone happy. Owners can now download Winegard’s free Connected app at the Apple Store or Google Play for free to make set up,connection and managing the device faster and easier.

New RV owners who want WiFi and cellular capabilities can order a fifth wheel with the ConnecT 2.0 WiFi/4G LTE extender by asking dealers to have it installed at the factory, saving the dealers and new owner’s time and money. Certified by AT&T and Verizon, owners can set up service with these carriers or Winegard’s own data plans.

“With more than 20 years of experience, Cardinal is one of the longest standing fifth wheel brand names in the industry,” said Michael A. Terlep of Cardinal. “As one of Forest River’s premier luxury fifth wheel lines, Cardinal is committed to residential features and amenities, because having the creature comforts of home is something our customers care about and we want to offer.”
