Book It RV offers 0% commission for rental bookings

TAMPA, Fla. — Book It RV launched a new rental platform that does not charge a commission to RV owners for them to rent their motorhomes and travel trailers to others.

While others are charging up to 25%, Book It RV has created a model that is friendly to RV owners and renters alike, the release noted.

Charging no fees to the renter and zero commission to the owners, Book It RV looks to disrupt the entire market and create an atmosphere that can withstand the test of time in the shared marketplace, said founder Richard Estrada.

“Other RV platforms are squeezing local RV owners out with high commissions and fees on top of that. Book It RV currently stands alone as the only RV rental site to charge a monthly fee instead of commission,” Estrada explained.

“There is no reason for an RV owner to feel like they have to give away 25% of their hard-earned rental income just to rent out their own RV,” he added.

Book It RV’s subscription based model charges only $30 per month for RV owners to list their RV. Compared to other RV rental platforms which charge up to $10,000 annually in fees and commission, Book It RV allows owners to know exactly what they are paying every month, he explained.

Estrada was granted two United Stated patents in the telecom world that changed the entire industry, and he envisions doing the same with Book It RV.

“Never before has a local RV owner been able to list their RV on a rental platform and have control of all the funds, especially the security deposit,” he explained. “All funds should be between the renter and the owner. If ever a dispute should arise, those two parties are best to resolve it at time of rental return.”

All of this is made possible with a proprietary software created to allow each owner to have their own shopping cart. This creates a seamless transaction between the renter and owner, Estrada explained.

All funds are passed directly to RV owners and they will be in full control of security deposits and refunds, the release noted.

“Book It RV has heard complaints from RV owners about the rental sites and has made it their mission to create a platform that caters to their needs,” said Estrada. “In addition to no commissions taken out, Book It RV allows RV ownersto add videos to their listings, and communicate directly with customers, instead of having restricted access to their phone numbers and email addresses.”

Book it RVwill be launching in Florida with a grassroots marketing campaign and has become a Visit Florida member partner.

“Local SEO has been a focus for us and we are already showing up in the top spot on Google for RV rental throughout Florida. So, if you want to be seen, list with Book It RV,” said Estrada.

Book It RV aims to connect local RV ownerswith camping and RV enthusiasts, eliminating a middle man and reducing costs for the owners and the renters. Book It RV encourages people to shop local for a better experience, as well as to keep the money in your communities, the release explained.

I see no mention of insurance in this article or on their website. Is the idea that the owner/renter are just liable for any incidents out of pocket? Is that legal?

    • Greg Gerber says:

That’s a great question, John. I was thinking that myself. I plan to ask those folks to be a guest on an upcoming podcast. Hopefully, we can find out more that way.
