ATC hires new CEO

NAPPANEE, Ind. — The ATC Board of Directors has offered the CEO position to Robert Paden, who accepted and replaced Steve Brenneman as CEO on October 8th.

Brenneman submitted his resignation in a letter to the shareholders of ATC on October 5, 2018, and it was announced to the company on October 9th. Brenneman leaves to follow his passion in other entrepreneurial endeavors and will continue to serve on the ATC Board of Directors.

Brenneman started ATC Trailers with Jeff Shenk in a garage in Elkhart in 1999. Since then, the leadership of the organization had been administered by a number of CEOs until Brenneman’s return in 2009. During his tenure as CEO, he helped bring lean thinking and processes to the trailer manufacturing industry and was a champion of its practical use in everything from a family’s kitchen to small farming.

Brenneman states, “I have enjoyed my work here at ATC over the last nine years and will continue to be involved from a shareholder and board member perspective. My hope is that the executive team led by Robert Paden will be able to take what I have helped to create and continue to grow the business profitably while preserving its culture, values and incredible brand.”

Paden brings leadership experience and knowledge of manufacturing businesses from his 25 years in the aviation industry. He has led manufacturing and distribution companies ranging in size from $20 million to $200 million in his roles as general manager, president and CEO.

He has also held leadership positions in program management, sales and product development throughout his career. Paden holds an MBA degree from Pepperdine University and a Bachelor of Science degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He joined to ATC in 2017 to support the integrated supply chain transformative effort over the last 11-months and served briefly as the leader of ATC manufacturing operations until his recent appointment as CEO.

ATC has been in continuous business for 16+ years and has become a dynamic innovator in the trailer industry. Based on its design and production system, ATC is capable of building custom trailers with relative ease. For more information, please visit www.aluminumtrailer.com.
