WASHINGTON — We have spent this year exploring all of the different kinds of RV’s available. Today we are looking at the tried and true
(Dec. 4, 2018) — Full-timing with dogs like Wyatt is a never-ending thrill ride. This boy has kept us on our toes, starting the day he hit the road with us.
(Dec. 3, 2018) — The RV lifestyle can sometimes be deceiving. RVs give us the freedom to go nearly anywhere, but that doesn’t always translate to the ability to do what we want, when we want to do it – if we care about camping and boondocking etiquette.
(Dec. 3, 2018) — Getting ready to travel in a truck camper? If so you may be ready to get out there and hit the road but there are a few things that need to be considered before doing that.
(Dec. 3, 2018) — After a nice stay with friends and fellow Xscapers Kate and Roger on their property near Mesa Verde National Park, including a nice weekend up in Fruita, CO to try my hand at mountain biking again, the cold weather pushing into Colorado finally forces me south.
(Dec. 3, 2018) — We unintentionally ended up spending the shoulder season in South Lake Tahoe this year. I say unintentionally because at first, we were only going to stay long enough to hike a few trails and see The Devil Makes Three in concert.
(Dec. 3, 2018) — Coastal Breeze RV Resort recently celebrated their Grand Opening in November 2018. A short drive from the scenic beaches of the Gulf Coast, this luxurious new resort lies along the shore of Salt Lake in Rockport, Texas.
(Nov. 30, 2018) — Leaving Wickham park we chose to head south on Highway 1, a more scenic drive than Interstate 95. About an hour later we pulled into Tanglewood Village in Vero Beach. Using our Escapees 20% discount we booked a week with plans to visit Sharon’s cousin John and his wife Penny.
(Nov. 30, 2018) — Two weeks of rest after finishing off a season as pumpkin lot managers and we are back at it again as Christmas tree lot managers. We are located at the same lot and continue to work with the same company.
(Nov. 30, 2018) — My destination was one of the top car stereo installers near my suburban Detroit home, Radios, Knobs, Speakers and Things…. They had a huge selection of radios to chose from… but at the top of my list was a great screen for navigation.
(Nov. 29, 2018) — And holy cow, that was a lot of driving over the last five weeks! I love driving, but even I am due for a break. In fact, we purposely drove a few extra miles the last couple of days in order to get to the Mission West RV Resort a little early so we could stay in one spot for a while!
(Nov. 29, 2018) — Whew! I’m feeling a tad Road-Rashed, Jet-Lagged and Whiplashed. Nevertheless, I’m back in the saddle of my comfy chair, tho it creaks from the ten extra pounds I gained over a weeklong Thanksgiving Family Food Fest/Reunion in Toledo, Ohio.
(Nov. 29, 2018) — With these smartphone/GPS devices in our pockets all the time, there are now many different ways to share your location. Apple has the “Find my friends” app, Facebook messenger (and many other texting apps) have a button to “Send Location.”
(Nov. 29, 2018) — Anybody who has been reading my blog for more than a month or so already knows that Miss Terry is both the brains and the beauty around here. She just keeps me around for comic relief; I’m basically the modern version of a medieval court jester.
