OR: Two-month closure at Bullards Beach expected in 2020

The campground and overnight facilities at Bullards Beach State Park will be closed Jan. 1, 2020 to March 9, 2020 for construction on the campground’s main sewer line. All overnight facilities will be closed, including the RV dump station, but the day-use area of the park will remain open.

Falmouth ZBA approves ‘glampground’ plans

The developers plan to bring a new style of camping to Falmouth, with 98 Airstream rentals and 10 canvas tents. Each Airstream will have two beds, a bathroom, and a living space. The tents will each offer a queen-sized bed.

MI: Reservations required at all Sleeping Bear campsites

Most of the sites at Platte River Campground already took reservations, but D.H. Day Campground was entirely first-come first-serve, leading to long lines overnight as people waited to nab a site. The National Park Service says the change to reservations will fix those long lines.
