Woman threatening suicide keeps police at bay at Arizona RV park

COTTONWOOD, Ariz. — Police converged on a motorhome in the Rio Verde RV Park Monday afternoon.

Cottonwood police spokesman Gareth Braxton reports that the incident was a threats-suicide type situation. A woman reportedly was threatening to commit suicide with a knife.

Over a period of about four hours, police negotiated the woman out of the trailer at the RV park just east of the Verde River Bridge in Bridgeport. Once outside of the mobile, the woman was taken to the hospital for a medical and psychological evaluation.
