WA: Rancho Sedona is a welcome oasis

SPOKANE, Wash. — Rancho Sedona RV Park was exactly what we were craving after several days of dry camping at the spectacular Grand Canyon National Park. Located on the outskirts of bustling Sedona, rimmed in the famously dramatic red rock mountains, this RV park offers expansive grounds under towering trees along the banks of scenic Oak Creek.

The 84 available sites are priced according to size, and we grabbed one of the smaller spots, a bargain at $58 a night. Other options range up to $75 a night, with various discounts offered for longer stays. On the expensive side, yes, but when you consider a room in Sedona can easily hit the $300 a night mark, it seems pretty reasonable, especially considering what’s available. Amenities we took advantage of during our stay included:

  • Pristine restrooms with showers
  • Laundry facilities
  • WiFi
  • Charcoal grill
  • Recycling
  • Cable television connection
