Texas waterpark proposes $5 million adventure resort

WACO, Texas — Hawaiian Falls in Waco is looking to expand beyond its waterpark, proposing a $5 million “adventure park” with ziplines, ropes courses, nature trails and a resort campground, reports the Waco Tribune-Herald.

Hawaiian Falls officials presented their vision Thursday to the city parks and recreation board, which agreed to hold a Nov. 14 public hearing before making a recommendation to Waco City Council, writes the Waco Tribune-Herald.

The proposed campground near the Bosque River would offer some 100 RV spaces with full utilities, eight cabins and 30 tent sites, plus a kitchen-equipped lodge, general store and swimming pool for campers.
