STURGIS, S.D. — On Aug. 26, the Greater Sturgis Life Care Foundation (GSLF) received a $1,788 donation from Lamphere Ranch Campground in Sturgis for the GSLF Lippold Hospice Garden fundraiser, reports the Rapid City Journal.
During this year’s rally, the campground worked with Eagle Sales and Fisher Beverages to sell rally banners and advertise a beverage, and in turn, it decided to donate the funds raised to GSLF, reports the Rapid City Journal.
The Rapid City Journal says GSLF has set a goal of raising $50,000 for the garden, which will be enjoyed by many future patients and their families. Lamphere’s donation purchased a bench under the tree by the west door of the hospice suite, and a plaque will be placed on it in honor of the Lamphere family.
