Point Beach State Forest in Wis. offers winter camping

TWO RIVERS, Wis. — Bill Bernardi of Highwood, Ill., had but a few words to describe his most recent camping trip to Point Beach State Forest in Two Rivers, reports the Herald Times Reporter.

“Solitude, serenity, peace and quiet,” he told the newspaper. “We were the only people in the whole park.”

With a shortened vacation time, Bernardi didn’t have the chance to “head south” and instead hitched up his 32-foot RV and headed north, staying several nights at Potawatomi State Park in Sturgeon Bay before settling at Point Beach State Forest, the Herald Times Reporter describes.
