Pelland develops new website for Maine campground

HAYDENVILLE, Mass. — Pelland Advertising today announced the launch of a new responsive website for Flat Rock Bridge Family Camping in Lebanon, Maine.

The campground, one of MECOA’s five largest by number of sites, has been a Pelland Advertising brochure client through three sets of owners dating back to the 1980s, when it was known as Kings & Queens Court Camping Resort. The first website for the park was built back in 1999, subsequently rebranded under the Flat Rock Bridge name, and owned by John and Mary Hastings since the winter of 2005.

From a technical standpoint, the challenge was to create a responsive and adaptable web presence with a custom design that would appeal to children and parents alike, explained Josh Pelland, Pelland Advertising graphic designer.

“Flat Rock Bridge is a very unique campground with an emphasis on its myriad activities and theme weeks and weekends,” he said. “The Flat Rock Bridge site includes several instances of progressive enhancement. Additional graphics and subtle effects enrich the experience on larger screens, while the interface becomes progressively simpler and easier to use on tablets and smartphones. The full content of the site is displayed on any device.”

The new website design concept has already been incorporated into new advertising that will appear in the 2014 MECOA directory and will carry over to the campground’s 2014 brochure, also produced by Pelland Advertising.
