PA: County seeks early end to lease to run Woodcock facilities

WOODCOCK TOWNSHIP, Pa. — The summer of 2019 might the last time Crawford County operates Woodcock Lake Park & Campground.

County commissioners have asked the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for an early end to the county’s current 25-year operating lease with the Corps because the county is losing about $65,000 a year on park operations.

The county is looking to get out of its lease after the upcoming summer camping season.
