OR: Bayport RV park and campground enter phase 2

ST. HELENS, Ore. — On Feb. 13, the Port of Columbia County granted permission for Bayport RV Park and Campground to enter Phase 2, allowing the park to receive engineering services in the hopes for later expansion.

Located adjacent to the Scappoose Bay Marine Park, Bayport RV Park and Campground was completed with Phase 1 and currently has 23 sites. Scott Jensen, Planner for the Port of Columbia County, said that while the eventual hope is to expand the park, engineering services must be done in order to ascertain how an expansion is possible.

“Part of the engineering is, ‘what fits where?’” Jensen said. “The engineering services is to start answering questions of ‘What will this look like? What will we choose?’”
