OR: 300 trees will be removed from Fishermen’s Bend campground

MILL CITY, Ore. — Fishermen’s Bend Campground and Day Use Site is to be closed until April 15 while another 315 trees are felled after a mass die-off caused them to be a public safety hazard, according to the Bureau of Land Management.

The BLM had approximately 650 trees removed last year from the 170-acre campground located two miles west of Mill City due to them becoming hazardous to the public. Approximately 300 were removed in the two years prior.
