N.S.: Public hearing on Big Pond RV Park

EAST BAY, Nova Scotia — Big Pond residents have banded together to stop a proposed RV park.

The group Friends of the Pond held a public meeting Saturday at the East Bay Volunteer Fire Department hall to talk about why the community should be against the development.

More than 60 people attended the meeting, during which Friends of the Pond outlined why the Cape Breton Regional Municipality shouldn’t amend its land use bylaw for Calgary-based developer Chris Skidmore’s project, which could include as many as 541 serviced RV sites.
