N.H.: Changes for Sandy Pines Campground reviewed

KENNEBUNKPORT, N.H. — The owners of Sandy Pines Campground on Mills Road are seeking approval from the Planning Board for upgrades including an expanded main entrance and driveway, additions to the glam tent area, and construction of a new bathhouse near the regular tenting sites.

At a meeting Wednesday, the board added conditions of approval to its findings of fact, including limiting the number of campsites to no more than 300, the use of only organic fertilizers and pesticides, using native plants wherever practical, and funding the local healthy beaches water testing programs in the amount of at least $2,500 per year.
